Job Summary
The Operations Manager is required for the US startup Xcelerium at their regional offices in Karachi and Lahore. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational challenges of the R&D setup. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to create a positive operational environment, and the capability to solve operational problems related to employees, timekeeping, and other office-related tasks. The Operations Manager will directly represent the CEO on various levels such as fresh hire onboarding, making appointments, and handling HR matters. A BBA/MBA or any management related degree and proficiency in English (communication skills) is required for this role.
Responsibilities
Oversee and address the day-to-day operational challenges of the R&D setup.
Foster a positive operational environment that promotes teamwork, efficiency, and productivity.
Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to streamline processes and optimize resource utilization.
Solve operational problems related to employees, HR, timekeeping, and other office household tasks.
Act as a liaison between employees and management, ensuring effective communication and conflict resolution.
Represent the CEO in various capacities, such as attending meetings, making appointments, and managing HR-related tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify operational inefficiencies and develop solutions to improve productivity and effectiveness.
Monitor and evaluate operational performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate and lead employee training programs to enhance operational skills, discipline and knowledge.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Manage and maintain operational budgets, monitor expenses, and propose cost-saving measures where appropriate.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) or Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English.
Proven experience in operations management or a related field. Fresh candidates are also welcome, if they want to prove they are good enough for the role.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues.
Knowledge of HR processes, including employee onboarding, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Ability to create and maintain a positive and productive operational environment.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to represent the CEO and make decisions on their behalf.
Proficiency in using productivity tools, project management software, and other relevant applications.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate operational challenges and propose innovative solutions.
